Do you travel outside of Morganton?
I love to stick close to home as I’m in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and adventure is around every corner but I will make some exceptions to this rule. If you have a specific special place in mind, let me know when you inquire to book your session.
How long have you been a photographer?
I got my first camera at Kaybee Toys when I was 10 it was a little purple film camera, and I knew I was going to be documenting the rest of my life. 25 years later and I still love photography!
What inspires you?
Light and the way it moves drives me to chase it and find the different stories being reflected. My child and his innocent wonder as we wonder trails studying moss, bubbling brooks, and figuring out how muddy he can get.
Why do you shoot adventure families?
My family is an adventure family, and growing up as a kid I also grew up camping and I love documenting those moments for us and friends in a way that is true to the beautiful moments and also something more then a cellphone photo and makes you want a giant print on your wall.
What if rains?
I personally LOVE rain!! Rain can be amazing and add an element of mood and adventure to a shoot. However, it’s truly dropping buckets we might have to reschedule or figure out another option. Maybe a family moment in your home if can’t change time, or your hotel adventures if you are visiting.
We are not a very adventurous family will you shoot us anyway?
Yes, I believe everyone has an adventure seeking heart in them and while that might look different on every person, I want everyone to be able to get outside and have a wild moment on a mountain or by a river with their family forever documented.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
You will receive full gallery within 60 days of the shoot date.
Where are you based?
I live in Morganton North Carolina. While I didn’t grow up here, these mountains have stolen my heart.
